This is the second wine of Chateau Ripeau which is classified as Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe, which is one the top class classification in the right-bank of Bordeaux.

Second wine means that the wine is made from grapes from the younger vines in a vineyard area.

Therefore it can be drunk younger between 8 to 15 years old, where as the Grand Vin which is Chateau Ripeau, which will age for up to 20 years or more.

Only 20,000 bottles produced.

2015 vintage is very good vintage in Bordeaux and harvest was done at optimum ripeness.
