Recognized for its ability to rival classified growths, the estate has gained a strong reputation for producing structured and long-lived wines.

The name "Chasse-Spleen" was inspired by poet Charles Baudelaire, reflecting the wine’s ability to "chase away melancholy".

The 2003 vintage has been highly rated, for being a ripe and powerful vintage due to the heatwave, yielding opulent fruit and softer tannins.

2003 is the 3rd best vintages during those period along-side the blockbuster vintages of 2000 and 2005.

Now at 22 years old, it is perfect for appreciating and for the tertiary flavors.
