M Chapoutier is like the grand master for Shiraz wines in the wine world, and the winery is especially a legend in the Hermitage.

This exceptional wine, crafted entirely from Syrah, showcases the power and complexity that Hermitage is renowned for.

This is a Single Vineyard Hermitage, from the vineyard of Monier de la Sizeranne.

Expect an intense bouquet of ripe dark fruits (blackberry, cassis), spices (black pepper, licorice), and mineral notes (slate) on the nose. On the palate, the wine unfolds with remarkable aromatic concentration, boasting silky tannins and an exceptionally long finish. Notes of violet, truffle, and smoke add layers of complexity.

18 months ageing, 85% of which takes place in oak barrels, giving the wine its notes of oak. The remaining 15% is aged in concrete tanks to preserve minerality and freshness.

This powerful wine pairs perfectly with grilled red meats (rib-eye steak, leg of lamb), game (wild boar, venison), or aged cheeses (Saint-Nectaire, Bleu d'Auvergne).
